Egor and Dawn

Thank you also for your comments.

Egor, you are very kind and I have to say that I love this particular blog as I find working on the internet fascinating.

So glad your computer survived the coffee Dawn. That must have been equally as frightening for you!

Many thanks

My Satellite Pro 6100 survived a cup of coffee splashing across the keyboard and monitor. I sure can sympathize with that horrifying moment wondering if your machine has survived!

I had a little blue Toshiba Satilette it was one of the models in the 2003-2004 years, I forget the specific model. ANYWAYS, I'm in a wheelchair myself and I had to work on my laptop from my bed because I didn't have a wide enough table to put a laptop on at that moment. I had my comp on my bed, writing out a story for some work I had to do for school when all of a sudden I had the urge to goto the bathroom (too much soda) anyways I turn my chair too quickly, my tires wrap around my power cord of my laptop (didn't know it had fallen) and I went forward. When I heard the crash of the laptop I was scared, all my school work lost I thought... but to my surprise when i picked up the laptop it was in perfect condition still, no dent, scratches or scrapes. The only thing affected was the power cord, it was bent because the laptop landed directly onto it but it still worked as well. All in all I loved that little laptop as much as a guy could love a inanimate object... I don't own a laptop at the moment but if I did I would go directly to a Toshiba laptop once again.

My Macbook Pro recently fell out of my bag, and fell about 4.5 feet onto a concrete floor. I had forgotten to zip up the bag, who's opening is on the side (it's a messenger/backpack combo) as I was rushing to class, I got down a flight of stairs and was about to head out the front stairs out of the building, when I heard a loud crash and my backpack got much lighter. I turned around to see my poor laptop lying on the concrete floor. The corner is dented, and the lid doesn't close as well, but I am thankful for the Apple ruggedness. I have no damage to the internal parts, even though it landed directly on the corner where the hard drive was. It was in sleep mode so that probably saved me some, but the corner of the top is dented, but the screen is fine. I'd buy another Macbook Pro again in a heartbeat.

..Actually. xD I have a Toshiba Sattelite too, but I'm not so thrilled with mine. I stood up and went to grab the phone once, forgetting I had headphones on, and it slipped off the desk, the keyboard broke in half, the screen cracked, and it will not turn on anymore. :P You sir, have a lucky.
