My internet marketing mistakes

If my credit cards could speak, believe me they would tell you how they had been exhausted by the extensive use they were subjected to.

They would tell you how their owner (me) followed each enticing sales page with complete and utter confidence that this would be the final sale because this product was “THE ONE”.

Looking back at that period of time the answer was right in front of my own eyes – I should have just followed one product to its final conclusion and asked for advice on the forums, instead of running around like a headless chicken buying every product that looked like the answer to the missing piece of the ever growing internet marketing jigsaw puzzle, which every product seems to leave out.

Having said that, some of the information on the forums can also leave you even more confused than when your first started with your question in mind. Worst still, some of the forums can be quite brutal with insensitivity towards a person asking a question. This can stop you from going to the forums as often as you should for fear of being the next victim to be ‘battered’ with uncomplimentary remarks.

This was yet another one of my internet marketing mistakes but thankfully I was eventually led to forum at the internet marketing inner circle, which is the very best place to go to when you need advice, want to support others, create group projects, mix with excellent masters and make fantastic new friends.

There is a fee to join because it is an inner circle but the fee involved will definitely benefit you rather than throw you into a debts challenge scenario. My debts-challenge is no longer a challenge and I love getting my credit cartd statements now because I either pay them off each month or they have zero balances. If my credit cards could talk now, they would probably say that they have gone into retirement and all because I have taken control of my internet marketing mistakes and mix with great friends in the internet marketing inner circle.

In my honest opinion, this is a product which everyone with an online presence should have to ensure that they are driving the correct traffic to their sites. 

Note that I say ‘correct’ traffic.

If only I had found these free website traffic generation techniques information two years ago, I would be in a much better position financially because of all the sales I would have generated by now.  However, within days, I will start using the article writing method discussed, as it is one of the methods of utilising articles I had not realised was possible - and this after my three years experience of being online!
 
I hope you will forgive me in advance of my next statement.

But, can you imagine how I felt when I heard the crash? Well, I was completely horrified. All my work, all my programs, my laptop, which I had grown so accustomed to - was that the end of my Toshiba Satellite laptop?

I have always loved my laptop for the freedom it gave me while working. You could often find me, with it, working in the kitchen, in the garden, sitting with it at an airport while waiting to board a flight, even in the car while enjoying the tranquillity of the sound of the waves by the seashore, writing articles.

But on the day of the crash I wanted to work and rest on my bed at the same time.

I had put the open laptop on the bedside table and plugged the extension into the back of the laptop. Then I took the plug end of the lead and put it into the wall socket on the opposite side of the bed. Next I decided that it would be best to put the cord behind the pillows, so gave the cord a tug, completely forgetting that it was attached to the laptop.

The crashing noise of the laptop falling fully opened onto the hard ceramic tiled floor (the usual flooring in a Spanish home) was unspeakable.

I rushed to the other side of the bed and was horrified, saddened, shocked and mortified, all at once, just seeing my Toshiba Satellite laptop lying fully opened, screen face down, on the hard floor.

Many thoughts flashed through my mind. Had I backed up the data recently? Yes, thankfully I had backed it up a few days before onto my portable harddrive.

Was I still insured? No, unfortunately the insurance had lapsed and I would have to rush out and buy another one as quickly as possible.

As these thoughts went through my mind, I picked up the laptop from the floor.

It felt stiff. The screen was loose. The frame around the screen had separated. The screen felt limp. My immediate thought was that it was completely wrecked.

With my thumb and index finger I squeezed the frame back into place. I gently eased the screen back to its original location and then moved the cursor on the screen. To my amazement, it worked!

My next step was to close down all the applications, which I had open and close the laptop completely to check the damage. It was then that I noted that it was stiffer to close but, nevertheless, it did close. After a few minutes I opened it again and logged on.

I could not believe it! It worked perfectly.

You may be wondering what Fred has to do with Stompernet’s program SMART and SPL, Social Power Linking.

Earlier today I was walking by the sea front, thankful for the fantastic views of the waves rushing against the rocks.  This was after I had stopped for coffee in one of the cafes facing the sea - my time for planning the day ahead.  However the plans did not go exactly as I intended but, who really cares.  I have nobody to answer to apart from myself. 

To think that less then two years ago, I was on the threadmill of rushing to get to work on time every day.  Driving through all sorts of weather.  Making sure I was always dressed the part.
